MEET MAVIS: A 1-YEAR-OLD RESCUE WHO REMINDED HER VET MOM WHY SHE DOES IT ALL

Meet Mavis, affectionately known as "Mav," a 1-year-old spinning, bee-toting bundle of energy whose favorite place in the world is right on top of whoever happens to be lying down. She came into Erica's veterinary clinic severely hypoglycemic, and in that moment of caring for her, Erica remembered exactly why she became a vet in the first place. Now Mavis spends her days playing with her sister, doing her signature spins to earn treats, and laying directly on top of every dog she meets whether they're ready for it or not. When it's time to celebrate, Erica goes all out with birthday cakes made just for Mav and decorations from Party Animal, plus Christmas and Easter presents because one holiday a year was never going to be enough for this little rescue who changed everything.

How has Mavis changed your life?
When I rescued her after she came into my clinic severely hypoglycemic, she showed me why I am a veterinarian and why I continue to do my job even though it can be very difficult!

How do you celebrate and make special moments with Mavis?
I celebrated her birthday with a cake made for her and decorations from PartyAnimal. She also gets Christmas and Easter presents.
